Michael Naylor

Assistant Vice President, DEIB

Michael is an experienced Human Resources Leader with over twenty-five years in corporate, government, and non-profit sectors. He has driven improvements in people management, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and diversity initiatives. Michael is also a Licensed Life, Health/Accident, and Medicare/Long Term Care Independent Benefit Specialist.

As President and Chief Service Officer at Enlighten Resources, LLC, he engages in a diverse range of services including HR consulting, insurance and Medicare solutions, facility and project management, faith-based resources, and transportation services. He actively supports community development as President of Community Navigator Community Builders Youth Organization and board engagement with Urban Ministries of Wake County as Executive Committee member and Chair of HR Committee. He has served in various leadership roles for multiple organizations, including Communities in Schools of Wake County, Western Carolina University Alumni Association, United Way Leadership Circle and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. Additionally, he is a long-term member of the Raleigh Metro Society for Human Resources Management (RMSHRM), where he has participated in Membership, Community, and DEIB Committees. He currently serves as AVP of the DEIB committee.

Michael earned his MBA and Organizational Behavior concentration from Western Carolina University, with additional executive training from the Center for Creative Leadership, HR Strategic Leadership from Cornell University, certification as a Development Dimensions International (DDI) facilitator and UNC Chapel Hill School of Government. Michael has also completed diversity training through BASIC Diversity, Inc, University of South Florida, the Society for Diversity, and Empowered Living.
