Jo Spilsbury

Assistant Vice President, Programs

Jo Spilsbury is a senior HR leader and SHRM-CP certified with more than 20 years of experience supporting leaders and HR teams through growth, change and complex people challenges across the UK and now the US. Before moving to North Carolina, she served as Head of People for Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, leading people and HR strategy for 5,000 employees across a large, multi-site mining, manufacturing and distribution business. She’s passionate about bringing a practical, people-centered approach to HR that adds real value to employees, businesses, and the communities they serve.

Now based in North Carolina, Jo works as a Fractional HR Consultant, partnering with executive teams and HR leaders to navigate change and turn people strategy into everyday practice. She serves as AVP of Programs for Raleigh Metro SHRM, working alongside volunteers to design programs that support learning, connection and growth for HR professionals. When she’s not working, you’ll find Jo volunteering with CatchAFire to support nonprofits, baking for charitable causes, or hiking the trails with her dog.
