Jeff Flanagan

Jeff Flanagan is new to Raleigh SHRM, having moved to the area from Texas. Prior to that he was an active member of the Austin SHRM chapter. He is a seasoned Human Resources leader with more than 25 years of experience delivering people strategy and cultural transformation by building trust-based relationships focused on collaboration, transparency, and authenticity. Jeff has built a career leading comprehensive HR functions including an HR business partner team, compensation and benefits, and compliance. He has also played a key role in helping establish and advance internal corporate communications practices and processes.

Jeff currently leads the HR Business Partner team for University Federal Credit Union; a $7 billion financial institution headquartered in Austin. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin and is presently preparing for the SHRM-SCP exam in early 2026. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jackie and their three kids Sofia, Sloane, and Jackson, community volunteering, exercising, and traveling.  Jeff and his family currently reside in Cary.
