HRCI Certification Study Group (PHR & SPHR)

Required Material: Sandra Reed and Anne Bogardus’ PHR/SPHR: Professional in Human Resources Certification Study Guide; 4th edition; 2012; to be purchased by participant before the start of the class.
Curriculum: Each session reviews the 6 Functional Areas within the Body of Knowledge: Business Management and Strategy, Workforce Planning and Employment, HR Development, Compensation and Benefits, Employee and Labor Relations and Risk Management. Each class is presented by HR professionals who have more than 15 years’ experience in Human Resources and are an expert on the subject they present. This program is structured to assist each participant with being successful in passing the testing for certification. Each week the instructors review and discuss the subject matter content and previously used test questions.

SHRM Certification Study Course
RMSHRM is actively working to create a study course that will support HR professionals in preparing for the SHRM-CP and SCP certification exams. In the meantime, we are referring interested individuals to the following programs:
- Duke Human Resource Management: This program is offered twice per year and details can be found here.
- Alamance Community College: This new program is designed to help you prepare for the SHRM-CP or SCP certification exam. Cost is $128 plus materials (approx. $595). For more information call 336-506-4200 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
RMSHRM awards two certification scholarships each year. Certification scholarships are for members only. To be eligible, you may not be reimbursed for the exam by any other source and must provide proof of passing the exam.
The winner will be reimbursed for their certification exam fees and related study materials up to $500.
Deadline is July 31 for Spring testing and February 28 for Fall testing.
